Work with your matrix

Refine, score, and pressure-test a matrix using the assistant built into datrix.

Before you start

Open any matrix you've created.

1

Open the assistant

In any matrix, select the AI button (the sparkle icon) in the top bar. A chat panel opens.

The buy-vs-build grid with the top bar visible.
2

Ask for a change

Tell the assistant what you want in "Share your thoughts…" — it makes the change directly in your matrix:

  • "Add a criterion for data security."
  • "Score Tundra on time to launch."
  • "Which option wins if cost matters most?"
The assistant panel open below the matrix, one of these prompts typed in.
3

Review what it proposes

The assistant also proposes ideas on its own as clickable pills (e.g. a new criterion). Click a pill to see the full proposal — what it changes and why — then Apply or Dismiss.

A row of suggestion pills (e.g. "CRITERION — Data security") with one expanded into a proposal card: title, short rationale, Dismiss / Apply.

What you end up with: an evolving matrix where your scores, rationale, and sources stay attached as it changes.

For more range, bring your own AI assistant into the picture — it's the most flexible way to work with your matrices.

Reading the grid
Options run down the left. Criteria run across the top, each on its own scale (stars, numbers, levels). The Score column rolls everything into a 0–100 result, and the top option gets a trophy.
Going deeper
Open any cell for its rationale, confidence, and citations — the "why" behind the number and where it came from.
